Donors for Danny is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose twofold mission is one, to encourage others to become organ, eye and tissue donors and two, to raise funds for The Danny Glover Memorial Scholarship Fund. Our inspiration comes from Danny Glover a Bergenfield High School graduate and wrestler who died tragically in 2012 . He was an organ, eye and tissue donor. Through volunteering with The New Jersey Sharing Network , and UNOS, the United Network of Organ Sharing we continue to spread awareness on the importance of donation and transplant. Through outreach in the community we hope to each year contribute to the amount of people who become registered organ, eye and tissue donors. The Danny Glover Memorial Scholarship’s are given annually. The recipients of these scholarships are kind , thoughtful individuals who exemplify the spirit of giving that Danny did by making the choice to be a donor.
