About Donors For Danny
Danny was a Bergenfield High School graduate and three sport athlete. He was Bergenfield High's first 100 wrestling match winner, and went on to wrestle at Ursinus College, in Collegeville, PA.
Danny died tragically in 2012 after sustaining severe brain trauma from a motor vehicle accident on the way to a fellow Ursinus wrestling teammate's funeral. Danny was an organ donor and through his generous gift of life was able to save and enhance the lives of many, including that of his Little League coach Ed Mooney, who received Danny's liver.
Past recipients of the scholarship have gone onto the Police Academy, LSU, Bergen Community, Springfield, and Ursinus College to name a few.
