The Coriell Institute for Medical Research (www.coriell.org) is an independent non-profit institution founded in 1953 by Dr. Lewis Coriell, a key figure in the development of the polio vaccine.
Coriell’s biobank manages the world’s most diverse collection of cell lines, DNA, and other biomaterials gathered and distributed for use by the international biomedical research community, including housing several of the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) significant collections for the past 50 years. Coriell scientists also advance personalized medicine by conducting novel research into the genomics and epigenomics of a wide variety of subjects from various cancers to opioid use disorder.
